What are we Making?

In 2018, we created the piece “Between Two Breaths” for the Superior Theatre Festival in Thunder Bay, Canada. The piece explored personal mythologies in relation to the cultural mythology in that area and how our own myths contribute to the collective.

In 2016, we created a festival in Taipei, Taiwan at the 435 Art Zone with ESP-1 Performing Arts. It was called In Transit, featuring a cast of 28 actors from Taiwan, China, New York, Greece and Italy.

In 2015, we were in residency at the Syros Institute on the island of Syros, Greece.

The work explored in the 2015 Festival included:

Echo, a new piece that combines political speech from contemporary Greece and choral text from ancient Greek drama, draws on and embodies ancient conflicts to reflect on contemporary struggles in Greece (and abroad).

Fallaci, a Woman Against, which connects the story of Italian journalist Oriana Fallaci to the myth of Medea.

A political circus of gender acrobatics in a modern examination of Arisrophanes’ The Ecclesiazusae, where power becomes a game of dress up.

In 2014, we created a festival at Teatro Due in Rome, Italy in partnership with InScena.
